UPDATE: REWARD INCREASED TO $6,000.00
The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction has been increased to $5,000 by a generous pledge of $3,000 from the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Foundation.
The New York State Humane Association, headquartered in Kingston, NY, is adding an addition $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
The New York State Humane Association has conducted animal cruelty investigation workshops for police and humane investigators throughout the state for eighteen years, and has also offered rewards in the past to assist Police and Humane Agencies in their investigations.
On Monday, December 3, 2018, at approximately 8:15 am two (2) kittens were allegedly thrown from a white sedan traveling on Log Rd in Patchogue in the vicinity of Buckley Road and the intersection of Risley Rd. and Prince Street. The witness clearly saw the live kittens thrown out of the window while speeding through a stop sign.
The two kittens appear to be standard household cats. The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for this heinous act of cruelty.The kittens sustained fatal injuries. The person responsible could be facing felony animal cruelty charges.
