Suffolk County SPCA Officers responded to a call from Suffolk County Police Department that 3 dogs and a cat were allegedly abandoned in the Centereach home. Neighbors had filed a complaint that they had not seen anyone at the home in sometime.
Michael Negron, 38, of Centereach was charged with failure to provide proper sustenance including food, water and veterinary care for the four animals left in the home.. The animals were living in deplorable conditions and appeared emaciated. The animals were removed from the home and signed over to the Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter by the Suffolk County SPCA.
Negron is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on June 21, 2018.
