SPCA Detectives Charge An Islip Man With Abandonment Of Two Dogs

Suffolk County SPCA Detectives have arrested a Suffolk County resident on  October 10, 2017 for misdemeanor animal cruelty.

On October 5, 2017 Randy Carnahan, 34, abandoned two adult pit bulls in a crate in Bohemia. Carnahan was charged with two counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty for abandonment and failure to provide proper sustenance.  He was remanded for arraignment.

Chief Gross said that animal cruelty will not be tolerated  in Suffolk County.  If you witness any incident of animal cruelty or neglect in Suffolk County please contact the Suffolk County SPCA at (631) 382-7722.  All calls will be kept confidential.

A criminal charge is an accusation.  A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
