Suffolk County SPCA Seeks Information On Dog Found Washed Ashore In A Lobster Crate

The Suffolk County SPCA is seeking information from the public about a dead dog found washed ashore in Eaton’s Neck.

On Tuesday evening, the dog, a Pit Bull mix wearing a collar, was found on a beach along Old Winkle Point Drive.  The dog had been stuffed into a lobster crate which was wired shut and weighted down with bricks.

Chief Roy Gross of the Suffolk County SPCA said that the SPCA is investigating this as  a case of possible animal cruelty.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Suffolk County SPCA at 631-382-7722.
All calls will be kept confidential.
